Question on Workflow in Rigging the human body

Hi Everyone,
Just a question on workflow
for no experience its quite tedious to rig and wish to minimize the trial and error
im planning to rig a whole body and going to use ncloth
and rig the face with blendshape and some deformers like cluster
my question is
how do i start?
extract the head first and rig/add cluster etc and merge it? step by step would be helpful!

There are several pipelines you could follow but here you go:

Model your character in its entirety
If necessary divide your character up into sections, clothing, head, etc…
Duplicate head and create blendshapes
Add blendshapes to the head
Bind the head and body(collision object) to a rig

I am assuming you are planning nCloth for clothing so at this point you could make the body a rigid body and the clothing models nCloth.
