Hi, im not experienced in shaders, surfaces or texturing in general. But i have a few question about shaders, if anyone could please help me a bit? (I use Maya btw)
First, does anyone know any good places i can read on how to put together shaders, to create different materials and feels in my models?
Second, if you use a shader with specularity, do you also then use a specular map? Or is this sometimes a personal choice?
Third, if i for example want to have ambient oclusion in my model, and also make a wood material from shaders. Is there a specific way to add both the oclusion and the material to the model so that both is visible and work together?
