Quadro 5000 Vs GTX 780

#1

Hello ,
I was very lucky to get a used (almost new condition) Dell Precision T7600 workstation at very cheap price , equipped with Dual Octa Cores Xeon E5-2687W Processors and a Qaudro 5000 Card ( Not the 5000K series ) and 32 GB RAM …
I use 3ds Max mainly , vray , Photoshop and After effects … i do various environment types at my work … from lowpoly game work , texturing , building game levels to High poly modeling and Heavy arch/Viz scenes .
as well as some Gaming to check and keep up with what modern games quality are currently at .
I am really noob when it comes to VGA cards … so which is better ?! the Qaudro 5000 or the new GTX 780 .

Best Regards ,

if you already have the 5000, just stick with it and maybe upgrade in a couple years. It’s more than enough card for most anyone’s workflow (learn to use proxies if you need to speed things up) and will have fewer issues than a gaming card’s drivers.
