Hi,
under content detail - density scale, does this value actually add and substract density or is it just a display thing? I ask because I have been exporting fluid to be rendered in some other package using custom format…
Thanks

It does :>.
“Multiplies the Density values in the fluid container (whether they are defined in grids, or defined by preset gradients) by the scale value. Using a Density Scale of less than 1 makes the Density appear more transparent. Using a Density Scale greater than 1 makes the Density appear more opaque.” -> from maya help file ^^.
The density scale multiplies the raw grid values when they are accessed internally BEFORE they get texturing, inputBias and ramp lookup( for example for opacity ).
