what’s the use for this BG? will this be a backdrop on a green screen plate or is this an establishing shot?
I think there are some thing you should take care of , like visual composition, balance and focal node, also on center I see an issue of texture, it looks pretty like a cloning issue, some weird pattern that looks wrong, you see? some diagonal lines crossing . hope this helpsp to imporve the painting
It was intended for a background matte looking from inside a helicopter onto the landscape. Yah, I also see the cloning, this was supposed to get a third and fourth pass but we ran out of time. I think this was a total of 5 hours of work but I`ll keep working on it for personal completion.

Nice breakdown on your Vimeo, Darvin.
It is technically well achieved but out of context it does not tell a story. Which is fine after your explanation of its purpose.
However, if you are showing it as a stand alone shot on your reel, it would need a focal point, as Jaime pointed out. Alternatively, I would simply show it as part of the shot including the helicopter cockpit.
