PSD image problem

#1

I am having an odd issue with rendering. I had this problem on my last project w/ shake as well, but never proir. Somehow it worked itself out. A friend of mine also had this issue and we could not figure it out. I am workig in 4.0 now for the first time. When I render a frame through flipbook my elements are not in the correct position, even though in the app veiwer they are. It does not make sense why my elments would move to a differnt position depending on how they are rendered…
…Ok, i just fooled around with troubleshooting and it seems the problem is with psd file images. They animate fine in the veiwer but if i render it(either flipbook or fileout)…for example i have a psd image that animates off screen with a move2d. But when rendering, when the image hits the edge of the screen, shake will not let it leave the edge of the screen. but a mask will move over the image, making it disapear. It is as if the actual layer stops animating but the PSD file keeps going, the psd file eventually leaves the scene coving up the static image stuck on the edge of the screen. it really is odd. I have quite a bit of psd images in my tree, and would rather not have to convert all these images to another format. The script is from an earlier version of shake, and it worked fine in that version(v3.0) but 4.0 has new psd options and problems. Does anyone know of a fix or is there an update that fixes this issue. I no longer have 3.0 cuz I moved to a new machine.

I tried searching all over in this forum and on google and I have not seen anyone mention this. Some one else must have had this issue. this problem is not unique to my current script it happens in new scripts as well. Please help

Yeah I suppose so, I have just been reading everywhere not to use psd files, but like you said tiffs, its just sux to convert them all. Perhaps I can just use automator, or something. Thanx
