[font=Arial]Position Summary:
[/font]
[font=Arial]Working one-on-one with the Director, the Colorist provides color correction expertise as an operator of a real-time color correction system for the CG Animated TV Series.[/font]

[font=Arial]Primary Responsibilities:[/font]
[ul]
[li][font=Arial]Works in supervised and unsupervised sessions with the Key Creatives and Editorial.
[/li][/font]
[li][font=Arial]Performs technical and artistic color correction to CG images, realizing the creative vision of the Director.
[/li][/font]
[li][font=Arial]Ensures that technical and quality standards are met in the color correction process. Gives direction as needed.
[/li][/font]
[li][font=Arial]Serves as key colorist contact with internal and external digital intermediate clients. Responsible for all material sent to vendors, ensuring all technical and quality standards are met. Communicates color correction issues to production. Must have the ability and experience to help others troubleshoot and problem solve. May be required to participate in color correcting sessions at other facilities.

[li][font=Arial]Works with systems engineers to test and improve systems and pipelines for color correction, film recording and image monitoring. Works with developers to improve color correction tools and overall color correction pipeline. Provides support for testing and evaluation of new color correction and film recording equipment.

[li][font=Arial]Maintains a library of before and after clips and/or stills for all projects.[/font]
[/li][/ul][font=Arial][/font]
[font=Arial]Education, Experience and Skills:[/font]
[ul]
[li][font=Arial]College degree preferred but not required. 4+ years experience color correction and/or colorizing motion picture film in a telecine environment.
[/li][/font]
[li][font=Arial]Proficient operating Pandora Pogle and/or Da Vinci 2K color correction console.
[/li][/font]
[li][font=Arial]Strong knowledge of video, high definition, and digital scanning equipment, including the ability to interpret video waveform and numeric pixel value levels.
[/li][/font]
[li][font=Arial]Knowledge of motion picture film technology, including laboratory procedures and densitometry, film stock types, camera formats and film aspect ratios. Experience with visual effects film elements.
[/li][/font]
[li][font=Arial]Must have the ability to simultaneously service a number of productions with different technical requirements. This position requires a high level of organizational skills and hte ability to multi-task. An understanding of production workflow and the ability to set priorities is a must.

[li][font=Arial]Must be extremely detail-oriented, accurate and able to meet deadlines under pressure
[/li][/font]
[li][font=Arial]Basic proficiency with UNIX and LINUX operating systems is helpful
[/li][/font]
[li][font=Tahoma]Must be a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.[/font]
[/li][/ul][font=Arial][/font]
[font=Arial]Physical Requirements:[/font]

[li][font=Arial]Required to sit in front of monitors and operate a color correction console 80% of the time.
