ProEXR + AEcs5 + Maya Render Passes

Anyone using ProEXR that can share some workflow tips?

AEx64 / Photoshop 32bit images EXR / HDRI WORKFLOW

1) psQ: How to select Color range?

2) psQ: How to invert a selection?

3) aeQ: In AE, is there an equivelant to pull a transparent Alpha like in photoshop?
ProEXR Photoshop Import> " holding down option or alt now brings up a dialog with these import options"
Perhaps it’s not needed because of blend modes to remove the black background?
