Problems: multiple faces

I had my base model imported from Maya to Zbrush, then I sculpted it there in zbrush. However, all the faces get multiplied when I imported it back to maya…
Has this ever occurred before? Does anyone know what the quick way to solve this issue is?

look under tool>subtools
and see if you have 2 of the same models
