Problem with rotation/animation

Hi, newbie here. I have a problem with animating this key in a little wind up toy (it should rotate, obviously). But it rotates very weirdly, which u can see here: https://youtu.be/ziH-DWDx08w

I dunno what to do. I tried parenting one mesh to another and other way around. All three axis change, even though I’m grabbing only one of them. I tried freezing rotation, but then after putting pivot in the right place and angle and clickin somwhere else, it would come back to its original position. Baking pivot didn’t help either. I think rotation order is right, but im not sure, cuz im a newbie. It’s just very frustrating. Would really appreciate some help or advise.
