Ok so as the title suggests I started using python more frequently so i thought it would be nice to use a proper IDE. I had Sublime installed so i just used it since it has a package for that. For autocomplete i used anaconda. Installed devkit, pointed anaconda to the stubs location (devkit/other/…/completion/py)
When I got it to work, the python interpreter all of a sudden used up 100% of my 24gb ram and created 16gb of cache files in /AppData/Roaming/Jedi/Anaconda.
This didn’t feel right to me so I tried Atom. Under the hood it also uses jedi (the autocomplete engine) and it suffered from the same problem.
So my guess is that this is either a problem of jedi or the python interpreter. Has anyone run into similar problems.
Or maybe this is how it is supposed to work… Though 16gb of cache for 100mb of stub files feels slightly excessive…
ANY help it appreciated really as google couldn’t help me
