I am trying to create bounding box controls for my character, but I am not sure how it is done. Can someone help me?
Problem creating character controls
I have seen cubes used as controls for character rigs. I am assuming that they are nurbs cubes and that you can’t remove the shading group node from a polygon object, but I am not sure how to turn a nurbs cube into one object that can then be used as a control object. Does anyone know how to resolve this?
I think what your looking for is an Influence curve. Essential your taking a nurbs curve and binding it to your mesh using a smooth bind. Then your using the cv’s on the curve to deform the mesh. Now in order to control the cv’s with a cube mesh you’ll need to create clusters on the CV’s and then parent the controller to the cluster.
