Problem- cannot take soft select off skeleton

Hi,

I’m new to this forum (and fairly new to Maya) so please go easy on me!

I’m looking for some advice on removing soft select.

I’ve tried pressing ‘b’ with both shift selected, the left mouse button, and by itself. I’ve also followed CGTalk forums with advice to refresh hotkeys through the ModifyUpperRadiusPress and ModifyUpperRadiusReleasee in Brush Tools.

Nothing is working if I hod the mouse and move left to right the fallout radius changes so I definitely have it on soft select, but I can’t remove it.

I’d be really grateful for any help.

Double click on the move tool. It should bring up the window for “move”. Scroll down and turn off “soft selection”,… and check “reflection” also… just in case. Turn both off.
Later in modeling you may want to use this, so get used to it.
