Preview Animations

#1

I’m wondering how I can get some more robust control over the OGL previews I export out of LightWave. Specifically I’d like to know how to export at a specific size, rather than whatever the size happens to be on screen. I had my camera view maximized and created a preview of it. Much to my chagrin it created a video that was almost 1280x1024, minus the real-estate the LW UI takes up. Ack! I just want to type in 640x480 somewhere and know that my preview video is going to be exactly 640x480.

Also, is there a way to export an image sequence instead of a video? The compression quality on those preview animations is terrible, or the video size ends up being huge. If I had an image sequence to work with, I could bring it in to Premiere or QuickTime Pro and have much more control over the compression of the final video.

Thanks,
Dustin

If you have multiple viewports in Layout, the preview will be made from the top-left viewport. It won’t enable you to specify an exact size but it will allow smaller previews simply by shrinking that viewport.

Gotcha. Thanks.
