My friend has a cut in premiere and I’m looking to cut it in FCPX. I have the whole movie rendered out as one file from premiere and have started manually recutting. I’d love to be able to bring in an edl or something to get the cuts from premiere to FCPX though.
Anyone had success with this workflow?

That’s a simple xml or EDL export. No, wait. Being a professional tool FCPX doesn’t allow you to use an XML or EDL without spending money and installing a plugin first(scnr)

That link CMX3600 only, might not work with RED-Footage or anything that uses clip/reel names longer than 8 characters.
CMX3600 does only allow 999 events per timeline, anything above that won’t be processed orderly.

A proper EDL workflow should relink to the source clips, so rendering the whole movie might be unnecessary.
