POS, CON, SDK, CTRL hierarchy and structure question

Hello guys , I am new to rigging and Maya it self. I noticed a lot of rigs when they have control curve , people group them in POS > CON > SDK > and then already control curve . Can somebody explain me why to do that and is it important to do that ? Because no matter how many tutorial I was watching, I saw only Ctrl_Offset> Ctrl structure and that’s all. Thank you guys :slight_smile:

Hi

What ever the control hierarchy and constrain is done,
1 Constraints or the direct parenting will be calculated.
2 Second the connection via utility nodeswill be calculated.
3 SDK
will be calculated.

So, if the SDK has to be still evaluated SDK group should be immediately above the control.
POS > CON > SDK >CTRL
