[Portfolio] Animation test

#1

This is a post for my portfolio class. I would love some critique on this this quick little walk i did. she walks in and stops suddenly because of a cat that’s on her path. (all to be added in later)

I’d love to hear your opinion

I really like how your walk cycle has acting and story. I think maybe you need more work at the ending frames where your character is settled. Maybe your character doesn’t need to bend forward again at the end. I like to know what is your story behind this walk:)

Thank you for your input! i am definitely going to work on that settle.

the story is that this girl walks into the scene and almost steps on a cat. the cat will then look up at her all cute and she will tell it to get lost. having no soft spot for disgustingly cute things. the cat will then proceed to pick her and throw her off scene.

Always nice to see some 2d stuff.
Her proportions change a lot during the walk, especially the length of her legs, I’d take care of that.
There are some spacing issues as well, some big jumps occures, mainly between first and second step.
She stops a bit abrupt as well, and the overshoot on her take is probably quite a bit too big.

I think too much is happening in too little time, so you’re rushing the action a bit.

Hopefully it’s helpfull

Thanks man! wows that’s a lot of problems o_o
i am definitely going to slow her down, perhaps it’ll help the viewer take everything in, since in this assignment i have no choice but to cram everything in.

thank you for the advice  i’ll try and work out all of that and perhaps re post when it’s fixed!
