Polypaint Layer bug or problem

#1

Hi fellas,
iam pretty new to zbrush and started modelling an Alien Modell.
I encountered a Problem while trying Polypaint with layers.

I have a tool consisting of various subtools (weapons ect).

-Now when i select the head and am on MRGB Mode i fill the object with lets say a MatCap LBrown Material and everything is accepted.

-Then i create a Layer to apply my Polypaint (switched to RGB) which is no Problem too.

-When iam done i disable the record mode and would maybe like to fill the head with lets say Outline Material. So i Switch to M and fill the objekt with it - works fine.

-Now when i turn off and on my Layer this Material filling Information gets instantly lost and i have the material on the objekt that i selected in the first place. So this way i cant store any other/new Materials onto my Modell! It reacts as if the material Information got stored into the Modell - even before i created a layer.

-Also i cant “fill Object” in record mode - it does not apply the right material behaviour then - so i assume this Feature is not really supported.

i tried exporting/importing ect.Is this normal?

i dont think 3d layers supports materials
Layers support geometry, Polypainting, and Masking.
http://docs.pixologic.com/user-guide/3d-modeling/sculpting/3d-layers/

you can bake the material in but you cant do nothing with it using the layer sliders.

if you want the color to stay i think you need to hand polypaint it and not use>fill object
remember i said color not material
