:anime: Hey everyone. Thanx for viewing my page. The last picture I submitted online was a total disaster. Three days of painting a total waste.
I’ve been advised to get help on my WIP’s so here I am. Any advice would be wonderful.

Magic Murder

Where’s your ****ing pride

Fantasy fighting

Amazonia

Africa 3000

Ngorita and the Impdutu

In general too many pics too look at at once and too general a request (advice).

So all I have is general advice. Try to construct your figures from 3D shapes. Simple shapes; simple symmetrical shapes are something everyone can learn to do confidently. Most every drawing/painting in the world can have their subjects broken down into cones, pyramids, boxes and spheres.

If you want to become an artist, three days of painting isn’t wasted time. It’s three days invested in your skillset, even if not everything turned out as you would have liked.

There are many things that doesn’t look quite right to me. For example her eye in Magic Murder, the clavicle and sternocleidomastoid muscles seems to point in almost random directions in the Zatanna picture. In general I think you could spend some time on studying anatomy and perspective drawing of the human body.

But in my opinion, you are on the right track. I like the golden edge of Zatanna’s hair, and the poses are quite good.

Hahaha Thank you for your reply’s. Anatomy in general seems to be my biggest problem :banghead: I always thought my main issue lied with composition. I got my hands on John Howe’s book and on the Lumiss collection so I hope that helps.
Have you gone to life drawing classes ?

Yes, it was part of an education I took as a cabinet maker.

Life drawing is good, no the least because you are forced to make lots of sketches. If the group is small and the instructor is good I imagine it could be invaluable.

The sessions I had were four hours. To escape boredom you can draw the other students while they are drawing, and not just the model.
