Please help me make a simple lamp

I need help making a traditional sky lamp, I’ve already made the fire/smoke and a simple lamp but now I need the light from the fire to be seen through the lamp. I’ve tried making it transparent and using the color ramp and both have failed miserably, please help, I’m sure there is a simple solution. I want it to look like this:

In the objects material, under the shading properties, increase the value for the Translucency
