I was wondering what type of software people use to either model plants (fast and efficiently) or populate them in a 3D environment. I’ve looked into Vue, but I’m a little skeptical. So what do you use? and any tips on 3d outdoor environments and plant population?
You can get some great results with Maya’s paintFX, though it requires a bit of tweaking to get things looking great. There are also a couple great plugins for Maya like onyx and xfrog. Another fun and easy tool is ivy generator.
