Planted Keys in Shockwave?

#1

hello,

well i have a prob… i try to export a character model (biped with skin rigged and weighted) and a mocap on it. so i had to set “planted keys” for the feet so that they don’t “slide” on the ground, it worked out fine, when i exported it everything works well but the feet are sliding on the ground as if i had not set the planted keys…

question is:

  • does shockwave support planted keys?
  • did anyone else encountered the same prob and has a workaround for that?

it would be very nice if someone could give me a direction or much better a usable solution for this… it would help me very very much in my situation…
thank you.

dave

sorry i forgot i am exporting from 3d studio max 7…

Shockwave is quite picky about how you export animations. Can you explain how you’re doing the planting? (It’s been a while since I used character studio).

well i just set a planted key in the character studio setup. it’s a key the keeps the foot stady on the ground with no slinding, that comes for example from “key reduction”.
there are 3 different keys in CS planted key, sliding key and free key.
or did i missunderstand you? what did you need to know exactly?

thx for the reply
