Placing Illustrator Artwork to Photoshop?

#1

I’m trying to place my vector artwork (made in Adobe Illustrator CS2) into Adobe Photoshop CS2. I would like to ask: Which file format I should save the artwork as (in Adobe Illustrator CS2), so that it would not be rasterized when open in Photoshop?

Thank you. =D

Open Photoshop. From Explorer (or whatever mac uses these days) drag the Illustrator file (a copy of course) to the workspace (root window) and then follow the import options dialog.

It will not be perfect, but it should be close. Read ‘Help’ (f1) under importing files.

Cheers

if you have both applications open at the same time, you can just copy the items you want to transfer across with either ctrl+C or Apple+C in illustrator, swap to photoshop and then paste them, with ctrl+V or Apple+V, where upon you will be given the option for them to be pixels, paths, or a vector smart-object, which will be resizable as it is still a vector object. If you dont want them to be rasterized, then I would suggest going or the smart-object choice.
