'PILO and ZIPP' pilot webseries (WIP)

#1

Hey all,

The last couple of weeks I've been working on a concept for a webseries for children. It's a Tom and Jerry-esk show in which two robots try to get rid of eachother. I only have a small segment ready (the full episode is there, but sound is still in works) so you can take a look. I'd like some professional feedback on the style and animation. Although it's just a small segment, could you post a first reaction? Does it have potential? Let me know what you think.

Nobody? I’d really like some feedback because I want to finish the pilot. If there can be any improvements, I’d like to know…

Hi, :wavey:
I am no professional but i guess any feedback is better than no feedback

The idea sounds pretty good, the characters being robots you can do a lot of stuff with them, like nuts and bots coming of them, bent metal (simple stuff, not feature film effects) etc.
The animation is on the right track. You need to get rid of that “floatiness”, make some moving stills, if you want to make a small web series for children i suggest the animation stile from the series “Monster Buster Club”. The animation is simple, with the characters zooming fast from one pose to another, giving the cartoon look of the show. Also, i think the small robot is a little too small. I mean i can barely see the face. A 10 %- 20% maximum, increase in size would be ok.

Good luck with the show and i hope i helped you a little.

Hi,

Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it! I’m also glad that you like the concept.

Your comments are noted, I really find them useful.

I’ll scale up the small character, because I heard that comment more often. Although this character is meant like some sort of a small, annoying bug, I can imagine it needs more character.

I also agree on the animation comments. Although this segment is the ‘weakest’ part in terms of animation (because of the transition in story) I do think overall it could be a bit more ‘snappy’.

Thanks! I hope you’ll enjoy the final version!
