Pie filling / Jelly Shader

Hi!

I’m trying to create a pie filling layer like this:

I’m trying to get ideas as to what is the best approach. I can see that it’s semi transparent, with refractions, but there is also some subsurface properties.

I’m rendering in Mental Ray.

Try an SSS shader with a little bit of transparency and add some bright highlights.
