Photoshop SDK help

Has anyone developed a very very simple Photoshop Filter (something like an invert). I am rather new to Photoshop plugin development and would like to know how to develop one. I would like to start with something very simple like an invert and then work my way up from there.

I am using VS2005.

Any help would be absolutely AMAZING, ty.
