Photoshop CS3 crash

Hello

I would like to ask if there is any way to restore lost picture after PS crashed during saving file?
I’v saved photoshop.dmp file that has 1,5gb before killing the photoshop proces.

What happens when you try to open it? Are you getting an error message?

Hmm it wasn’t saved at all. PS crushed and stop responding in vary same moment I push ‘save as’ button.
Sometimes it takes a while when the file is huge and have lots of layers [but no more than few seconds]
I’v waited for about 20min. and nothing happened so I push ctrl/alt/del [I can’t remember now how this screen calls in vista in english] and make a dump file from ps process and then kill it.

I’v searched lots of forums in topics about restoring lost ps files after crash and one answer appeared everywhere ‘not possible to get it back’

For most time I remember to save often but at this case I lost few hours of work.

If it didn’t save the file, then I’m afraid it’s gone.
