I want to start looking for work, but I feel my reel is lacking something (besides music which I’ve heard studios mute anyways)… Anybody help me out with some critiques:

hi… you have very nice models but i would have keep it shorter… i mean use the doll, the dog and the last human/alien body. and maybe ambient music.

i would exclude the human heads because the last model, on your reel, sums up all your organic skills.

i would advise if you want to show off a hard surface model, do something more interesting rather than a colt m4.

I agree with asmodai, the doll, the dog, and your last model stand out more. I hardly see reels with just a head bust anymore because it doesnt take much to make a generic head. Not saying dont use them just give them a bit more character so they can see besides modeling it you know how the facial muscles expresses emotion, but yea they just feel generic compared to your doll and dog which look great by the way. Keep it up and good luck on the job hunt…

Thank you guys for the advice… heads removed, added blown apart view of the gun, added details to each video and a new piece.

hi… well lets go by parts…

1- the details of each piece dont have to ocupy a lot of space. keep it more simpler. especialy that piece of the squirrels is very good but you really dont have to say EVERYTHING about it. i think its a bit distracting.

2- loose the gun. really. that gun isn’t doing anything.

3- the dog i dont think you need to do a close up of it. it would be better if you did a zoom in, on your lucifer character to show its details.

4- i advise you to put the squirrels piece first because it attracts more the eye.

you really dont have to go by 2 mins of reel. you can have only 1 minute of your best things and thats what counts best.

quality over quantity.
