pasting problems

#1

I was wondering if anyone knows why when you copy a layer with key frames and paste it into a new composition the keyframes get messed up and out of place in between frames and not where they were in the original copied version of the layer. I hope this makes sense, it’s a really simple question, just not sure how to articulate this one.

If anyone has an answer of how to paste without having this occur it would be of GREAT help for me

This is strange… I haven’t faced such a problem before… can you please elaborate your problem… Maybe that would help us to understand this better.

I’ve noticed this problem before. The keys will sometimes be off by the amount of frames you are into the composition. I usually drag the current time indicator back to the first frame, then copy the layer. If that doesn’t work, it could be some difference between your two comps or footage (different frame rates, time remapped or something?).

yeah, sorry everyone… it was a simple frame rate difference. the copied source composition was set at 29.97 fps and the one I pasted the layers in was 24 fps… how embarrassing lol
