Pasted layer position

hi!

Into photoshop (cs3) I’ve opened two identical files, same size and dpi.

I’ve maken some draws on file01 into a new layer, and now I’d like to copy it into file02.
The problem is the position: once pasted the layer into file02, it hasn’t the same position it had into file01.

how can I fix it?

Instead of copying and pasting, drag the layer from the one file to the other, while holding down the Shift key.
