Particles question..

#1

Hey guys, i’m trying to learn shake. Does anyone here knows if shake offers some kind of particle package like combustion and AE. I was looking all over the place. But still can’t find any particle filters.

I just need to composite some simple particles using shake. Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance.

hi,

you could give my particle-macro a try. just download it from my site:

it’s not that fast, but if you want to do particles in shake it should work.
on highend3d are two or three other particle generators.
all don’t look like combustion particles or trapcode’s particular for afx, but hey, different apps for different needs!

good luck

So what is the common workflow for shake compositors?..what if one needs to composite particles for vfx purposes?..what are the pluggins that is available?..I’ve searching for shake pluggins … but i just couldn’t find any…

Shake was originally made for film compositing where you usually have a separate person making the particles in a 3d application. Look at using motion or particle illusion if you want 2d particles. Motion project files can be imported into shake without rendering. If you want 3d ones, then look to your favorite 3d package.
