particle trails

Hi.

I have been sitting here trying to come up with a way to create these trails. I hope maybe someone can give me a good direction to be heading to.

Ok. I have a particle system (A) travelling in the way I would like it to. Now these guys are meant to be the ones I use to spawn my second particle system (B) which will be making up my trails. So far so good.

I would like to take the lifePP of particle system “A” and plug that into a arrayMapper uPP for particle system “B”. The arrayMapper will be effecting the radiusPP.

I would like to do it this way because I want to make a texture that will govern the radius of system “B”. At the same time the life of system “A” will effect which part of the texture it will be using.

There are two more things that I will need to add to this. Firstly. As the radiusPP travels up the vPP of the arrayMapper. It will reach the top as it hits the end of its life. But I dont want it to die. I want it to just sit there at what ever radius it got last from the arrayMapper. And secondly. I dont want it to use just one texture in the arrayMapper. How can I go about making it pick a random texture, from a library of about 10, for each of the trails from system “A”.
