I was wondering how do I go about controlling the particles using sound or music? An example can be viewed here:
From the looks of this video, Krakatoa could have been used for this. I’m just wondering if it can be done in pflow? I’m using 3DS Max 9

You could use an Audio Controller in combination with maxscript, maby in a birth script operator or a script operator.
While Krakatoa was used for rendering, nothing in the audio setup would depend on it.
You can use the Audio Controller anywhere a controller can be used.
A couple of years ago, in the Master Class “The Quest For The Make Art Button” I demonstrated a simple PFlow setup that worked great with Audio (even interactively with the microphone). It should be available from the Autodesk Subscription Center (if you have access to it).
