Paralumino Announces “Dimensionalizing 2D Photos” tutorial by Ian Waters

Paralumino Creative Studios is proud to announce Ian Water’s “Dimensionalizing 2D Photographs” tutorial for the Electric Image Animation Studio. This instructional video elaborates Ian’s techniques for adding a third dimension to existing 2D photographs. Through a combination of 3D elements and camera mapping techniques, Ian completely transforms a static 2D photo plate into a moving 3D environment capable of handling a level of camera movement within the scene.

The tutorial covers a number of EIAS tools including:

Kmyst, Deformations, Reactive Shaders, Basic Character Animation, Function Curves, Smokers, Camera Mapping and Compositing.
