Painting/sculpting in modo 501

Well i noticed this weekend that painting over UV seams is much improved in the latest 501 version (personally didnt notice any seams in the renders). This didnt work for me in 401. Also painting is much faster here on my pc. It seems that the day when i am able to model and paint textures only in modo without going to GIMP has come :thumbsup: And also i accidentally noticed warners video on youtube for imageink autoscale feature (http://www.youtube.com/user/warner13#p/a/u/2/lEtZA77e7nQ) this helps a lot for some situations.

I also noticed the seamless sculpting is better and multires gives nice results. Didnt bother with sculpting before (dont have zbrush nor mudbox) but now i am going to give it a try.

would like to hear anyone else’s experience with Painting/sculpting in modo 501

Hi Niong108,

Although I’ve only just got around to downloading my 501 upgrade and have not had chance to use it yet. It certainly sounds like Luxology have made some serious improvements in 501 and I’m looking forward to testing it out this week.

Have you noticed major improvement in the sculpting then?
