Painting help

Hey everyone, I am an extreme noob with mudbox and need help with painting. I have a brain model that I have just sculpted and now wish to paint, but due to the many crevasses its hard for me to get every nook and cranny, along with the paint brush tool bugging out on me. Is there a way in which I can just apply a base coat of paint to the whole object without having to paint brush the whole thing? Thanks for the help everyone.

create a paint layer… export the paint layer as PSD…
open it up in PS and paint it…
refresh the paint layer in mudbox…
