Painter XI release?

Any news out there on a release date? Thanks.

I’m guessing somewhere around the end of Q1 2009
It’s certainly not gonna be too long anymore now since Corel has been selling Painter X at 50% for a while now.

Unless it is a typo, it looks like Painter 11 will be demonstrated in the U.K at Focus on Imaging 2009 . 22nd-25th February at the NEC, Birmingham.

Fingers crossed on Painter XI color mixing…

I’ve been asking since at least 2005 for Painter to drop its RGB color mixing in favor of some more realistic multispectral pigment mixing.

…So Painter, if you are listening – it’s time.

By coincidence, I even came across some researchers today who were doing it back then. Interesting stuff.

Looks like it is a typo, it has been removed!

Often departments don’t talk well, and as a result information can be prematurely released. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone posted the information because they knew that was the venue and then was told to take it down to maintain the excitement of a surprise announcement.

Or at Corel the buzz is all about Painter XI right now and it was typo of the freudian kind. Regardless. This is still good news for those of us hoping for new version. It mean that XI is coming most likely sooner rather than later.

Have you signed up for the Webinar they’re having on the 24th? I bet that will be allot of teases as they introduce the new features.

I received an email Invite from Corel. I didn’t see it publically listed on a website. I don’t know if there is a way to sign up for the Webinar without the Invite.
