Painter Sketchpad?

#21

My first impressions were positive, but I don’t really see it fitting into my workflow.

With my system, the pencil is somewhat slow at decent sizes and is almost unbearable.

It feels like a more cluttered and heavy version of Alias Sketchbook Pro. All in all I will not be purchasing Sketchpad until it offers me something intuitive and unique, something that isn’t evident in the trial version… early days though.

Good luck Corel.

Your post makes no sense. What are you trying to say?

I’m not getting any kind of pressure sensitivity kind of response out of this software. Is anyone having the same problem or is it the intended design ?

Which tablet are you using?

Bamboo Fun. Just FYI, i dont have any problems with pressure sensitivity in other software such as Opencanvas, Artrage, Photoshop, etc.

Now i also tried the trialversion and the software is quite nice, kinda like ArtRage in a way with the big difference that it costs alot more heh…

But i seem to have some pretty serious lags when i paint with SketchPad, the brush can suddenly jump around and it kinda feels like painting with gridsnap on. Not too charming :frowning: and my rig is fast enough and my tablet is good enough to run all applications so i’m not having a hardware issue.

One more thing, sometimes brushes will throw dots anywhere else on the paper i’m painting on, far from where my brushtip is and that in combination with the random jumps and ‘freezes’ of the brush when i paint ruins the overall experience and fun of painting.

Are these known issues or am i the only one experiencing them ?
