I have a weird problem where, even when black is chosen as my color, the darkest color I can produce on my canvas is a charcoal gray. So far it happens with every brush I try, and with every Paper Type. I’m kind of new to Painter, so I may be missing something fairly obvious. Any ideas?
At the top right of your canvas window there is a little box with a rainbow pattern in it (above the blue star); if you click on it you turn off Color Management but you might also find your blacks black again.
Such a tiny little button. Thanks joeparis. That did the trick! I visited the color management area of Painter and didn’t see anything strange… I guess that means its time re-calibrate my monitor.
