painter curser...circle or actual brush image?

hellloooo

 anyone know is there like a simple option im missing to change from the standad circle brush indicator to the actual projected brush?  ie if im using a spounge, instead of just a circle i want to the brush shape to look like a magic wand outline of a spounge - like in most tutorial vids ive seen... THANKS

Edit>Preferences>General>select Enable Brush Ghosting.

It doesn’t apply to all brushes but quite a few (including Sponges!). Make sure you deselect Enhanced Ghosting, which is advisable anyway.
