OSL/Shader programming


Hi guys,

I’m attemping to get into shader programming with OSL, but potentially rman c++ / arnold c++ and looking for resources on shader programming. What are the recommended books/resources on shader principles? I’ve created a few shaders including fractal noise, tri-planar, AO/dirt but struggling to write a curvature shader and looking for a good book/ set of resources. The renderman shading language guide was recommended but not sure how relevant it is today, or if its still the best book
