This is my first organic model, done in SILO and rendered in EiAS.
Never can do somethin like this in the Ei Modeller despite the influence of Malcolm Thain (i did never understand how he could do his beautiful sculptures). C and C will be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

I use patch modelling, building the head poly by poly. Theorically, SILO is better suited for box modelling, but the box covers my references… 
then patch modelling it´s my way.
I´m rebuilding the hands, they are no right yet. And parts of the body.
As soon as SILO can do UV Mapping i will map the girl with photo textures that i´m working on.
As soon as the modell is ready, comes the morph targets and animate!
Sadly we have no Hair/clothes plug ins… well, she will be bald and naked

Hi, new test, now with torax. The arms and hands not finished yet. No legs too. And add some color in Photoshop.

Thanks for the comments! I’ve been freelancing Waaaaay too long. I’m freelancing as a CG generalist now but I’m actively seeking full time employment as a modeling artist in a studio where my skills could develop faster. I keep feeling like I’m behind the eightball when it comes honing my skills. It’s like Brian said – I need to be challenged by great artists in a production environment (I’m paraphrasing).
Well, here is the body. Still not happy, but almost (not stiched yet). Now comes the hands … C and C very welcome.

Hi Felix,
It’s starting to look really good! The lat muscles in the upper back look a bit strange but it’s hard to tell before you stitch the sides together. Check out Kris Costa’s WIP, this guy can model and has a great eye for anatomy:

BTW, you are right about the upper back, i must work a bit more in the scapula muscle. I´m working in the hands now, just for put some distance… and waiting for SILO 2…

Now comes the UVMapping nightmare (hope the SILO 2.0 comes to the rescue), the rigging and the face animation (TAFA!! where you are?).
This has been a First trip… first organic modelling, first carachter animation, first UVMapping, first rigging…
BTW. It seems that we are the only two SouthAmericans here!
