Currently I try to bring some new and cool features to somewhat old OpenGL code. By now, one of the most coolest features I ever seen is vertex/pixel shaders, “invented” by nVidia/ATI.
BUT, I can’t expect each and any card to have this features, so what I need to do in worst case (no such a extension)?
Simply turn it off? Or emulate? How?
OpenGL shader fallback

Curently it seems there is no and there will be no fallback method for shader codes. Programable architecture is embede in the boards itself, so there should be a software emulator for it, which I seriously doubt anyone will write ever. So, to cut it short, ‘FEATURE NOT SUPPORTED’ screen is where you’ll find your answer, unfortunately…
