I have been trying to switch my workflow to openexr render format, I use Maya to create the 3d renders and after effects / composite 2011 (sometimes) for compositing…
Everything was going great until I found that I cannot make AfterEffects LensBlur use correctly the depth map from the openexr file… I already used the extractor to get the depth map from the openexr but the lensblur just blurs the whole image… insted of considering the depth map.
I also already assigned the extracted depth map to the blur…
Please any help would be appreciated
and by the way, is there any way to decrease the size of the openexr file? its 15mb openexr vs 3 mb tga…
