Open GL viewing options on an iMac

#1

Hello Everyone. I’m new to Blender and this forum. I’m trying to view textures in real time using Open GL on my iMac. When I go to texture view mode, all I see is the object filled with a flat white color. Even though when I render the object the assigned texture is visible in the rendering. Can anyone tell me how to enable real time texture feedback in Blender 2.5.

Thanks Todd :bounce:

Press N for the properties panel. In the Display settings change the shading from the default Multitexture to GLSL

Hi Richard. Thanks for the reply. I enabled that option but there’s no difference. I was toying around the other day and I was able to get a UV image-based texture to show up. But I haven’t been able to get any other kind to show up.

Hi Richard. Thanks for the reply. After toying around, I can get image-based UV textures to show up. But other types of textures don’t render in real time.

Procedural textures won’t show unless you bake them to an image file
