I think this will take ages to properly paint. If I don’t do any housework at all this weekend, I might actually manage to finish it

#283

I’ll call it a night. Maybe I can finish tomorrow.

#284

Glenn,

Your beginning stages are always very cool, and it’s impossible to predict where your paintings will end up! Looking forward to seeing more of your progression.

Amerasu,

Looking great so far! Bouguereau’s style is very different from your own, and it’s cool to see you diving in.

How much longer do you guys want this OFDW to run? I am open to suggestions.

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

more 30 minutes, now i’m going to the details, but i’m in deep trouble in my university > i think this week i’ll not touch this paint

#286

tiago barcellos pereira,

Really sorry to hear about your university problem…hope it works out.

Really nice work on this so far ~ I hope you’ll be able to come back to it shortly.

Cheers,

Amerasu…looks great…lot of work though …hey…

Tiago…really looking forward to seeing how you personalize the colors in this painting.
Hope you get to finish it…but first things first…the way of the world…

Rebecca… I was only planning on doing face studies on this one, to start with, and a little experimenting
with brushes and technique, so it is not that important to me to finish it at the moment.
will most likely be one of those paintings that are used to try out new things on, when they
are sucessful, and might look good in this painting…could learn from and work on this painting
for years…so the time thing you mentioned above is fine with me whichever way it goes.

TAKE CARE
Glenn

One last update for today. I have to give it up til tomorrow so my family likes me again.

I do plan on commenting on all of the fantastic work here! I will do that tomorrow when I post the final version.

#289

Amer - Your middle two Nymphs are beautiful.

Tiago - I like the way work art was created with the linework. It seemed that it got you to the details faster. Yours is also coming along nicely.

Keep trucking guys.

I hope to have an update sometime this week.

#290

WOW:eek: , You know this thread is dead when I can post two in a row on seperate days. Here is my update on the Nymph project:

#291

Threads don’t die, Aggie…they wait.

Cheers,

#292

Good one! :scream:

#293

I’ve been designing a website, so haven’t had time to work on it. I’ll finish the face this week, then post the end result. I don’t think I’ll be able to do much more work than that so…I would like to see everybody finish, though! One more week or so?

#294

I still haven’t managed to finish this, it’s a very difficult painting! But I am much closer now and aside from some refining here and there, I just need to complete the background / nature.

#295

Aggie,

Hehe

Maladie,

A week sounds good. Does that sound like enough time for everybody?

Amerasu,

WOW, this is looking gorgeous! Great stuff, I really hope you complete this! :bounce:

Cheers,

Wow, Glenn, these are beautiful! Definitely save these states, they’re really nice ~ it would be great to see the golden tones more subtly carried through to the end.

Nice work!

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

#298

This one is over, right Rebecca?

#299

cypherx,

I think we’re going to give it one more week.

well then I’ll start mine tonight (in charcoal)… though I wouldn’t mind doing it digitally, I can keep my charcoal drawing. I’ll try to upload photos tomorrow. I’m going with choice B.
