[left][center]Welcome to the FOURTEENTH thread of the Open Figure Drawing Workshop!!!

This workshop is open to any medium and any style. Some informal moderation
will be gladly provided by Rebecca Kimmel ~ however, the purpose of the
Workshop is for Artists to interact with and informally critique one another’s work.

[b]Due to the popularity and outstanding success of last week's first Master Copy Workshop, we will be continuing this week with another Master Copy Workshop!

#7

I am in!! This is my first time doing this so what do we do exactly? just pick one of the references above and make a copy ? or make our own version of one of the images above?

#8

Roberto and Matellis,

Welcome aboard!

Matellis, you basically choose one of the photos above, and yes, make a copy. The purpose is to increase your ability to draw and paint the figure representationally. You may choose to adapt the painting, but I generally prefer that if someone (not necessarily you) is a beginner, that they try to faithfully reproduce the painting so as to increase their skill. Having said that, in no way do I or any other participants here dictate style, etc., so as long as your interpretation is not inappropriate, you are free to use the Reference as you wish.

Cheers, and good luck!

Not so quick as Matt:eek: …, but I was so excited to start my first colored shading that I worked the whole night:D - just to see if my vague idea of this technic will work…no I’m terribly tired, but I think this may be a good starting point…???

Have all a nice day!

Hi everyone - great to see all the “stars” join in on this one…!

erm Rebecca, is it due to superstition that there is actually no 13th OFDW?
