erm, well, as I am basically partying everyday and the WC will be on for another few weeks I will have to bump this thread for a while with my WIPs…
hello SaraD…:wavey:
Looking great Mu, I should add some highlights, but I know you are still working, ready for wendesday?
:bounce:
hey man, yes, the lightest lights I keep for the end refinements…
on wednesday your match is in Gelsenkirchen…at 16:00 as far as I can see, so, two hours later+at least another two hours you could be in Dortmund at 20:00. Unfortunately the last group games are simultaneously so there’s no game to watch. Maybe we meet on thursday? I dont know… pm me!
:wavey:

Rebecack : feel free to ad this to the finals gallery!
We’ll here she is…Been really busy the last few weeks but I figured better late then never. I had hoped to ad some detail but alas, I ran out of time
C&C + paint over welcome!
about 10 hours total
PS.
Radical_Seifer,
Hey there, this is looking good, but I still think it has a bit to go before being considered ‘finished’.
The main thing that you might refine are the edges ~ the black of the background is jaggy and not meeting the edges of the figure. Don’t go for speed on this, slow down, really look at the overall piece, and evaluate the areas that need to be fixed. Mainly I think cleaning of the edges and really getting a nice contrast between soft and slightly harder edges will do the trick. A small detail is the right big toe, which looks a bit cut off / crushed.
Looking forward to seeing your update!
Cheers,
~Rebeccak
This is the wrong one. I uploaded the wrong picture. Ill get the new on up asap with a few tweaks. Quick question though, What would you say is the best way to clean up soft, undefined edges? Just got over them in the eraser? Thanks for the input!
Radical_Seifer,
No worries!
Just relink your piece when you can.
SaraD,
The pelt is stunning! :applause: Only real crit is that the ground, by comparison, looks relatively plain. Perhaps a quick texture thrown overtop could break it up a bit? Up to you.
At any rate, would love to see an 800 pixel and hi res version linked here so that your piece might be added to the SPOTLIGHT thread.
Cheers,
~Rebeccak
I know about the ground, and I started to put some texture on it - and felt I couldn´t be bothered anymore
I´m soo tired of him now… maybe I´ll fix it before I send a high-res.
And - I´m waiting for you Bashi…
this time I frantically worked at several places of the canvas.
I will be in denmark (holiday) from 28th of June so no updates for two weeks (or I finish it before…hahaahha!)

Greetings all!
I just though I’d share this article I’ve posted on my blog… the complete step-by-step for my contribution to OFDW17!
http://www.botched.com/index.php/blog/discourse/ofdw17_step_by_step/
Thanks!
Hi botched,
wonderful step-by-step: bookmarked for sure! ![]()
whenever I look at the following area of the painting I feel sick. I can see nothing there. It’s just as if he had tested a little bit of abstract art in a hidden area of his canvas…
:banghead:
increasing values thus creating some highlights where the value relationship was accurate already.
