Matt, looking good! The tigerpelt seems a bit too bright though, check against the orig?

slowly going through all the problem areas adding details and correcting proportions after upres-ing the whole pic…

Good start there matellis. I understand that it´s a wip, but don´t get stuck in the “monochromatic” colorscheme - remember the greens and yellows etc in the skin
Looking forward to see your progress! I realized the tigerskin would kill me, so I´m not even gonna try this one
Did some work on the clothes.

hey thanks for the comments guys , clippy yeah i know its still a bit light , i always tend to work from the lighter colors to darker , and sara yeah im like a printer i usually stick to one color and then move to the next so those other colors will be coming soon ,
the lastest updates are looking good , no crits here
another little update for you guys

DaWinky: Awesome work you have done
Teck: you missed a spot. Just kidding. Beautiful finish!
Dim: You did a great job on the merchant too.
Clippy: Wow! you must do more master copies.
SaraD: That bashi is looking gorgeous. His skin is glowing and so alive.
Sam: I am liking the begining of the oil painting. I am watching it intently since I intend to do more oil studies.
Matt: That is one lovely artistic digression from the original.
Now paint me a naughty chick sitting on the balcony
MrMu: The pieces are coming together.
Becca: That black and white gives bashi such a tranquil look. I wonder if you could keep it black and white. Certainly that
will be different.
Okay, time for some belated replies.

You've done a great job with this for an IRC addict and I think you could push it further, but I'm not sure I can push you further ~ so it's cool to /think/ you're done. :D Good job with this, would (seriously) love to see you do more OFDWs. :)

I think this is looking great ~ the clock in the back left looks a bit contrasty. I still think her right arm needs more 'flow'. Take a step back from things and see the image as a whole ~ how the colors meld and how the eye flows about the room and the figure ~ then ask yourself if you are done.

Welcome aboard! Great to see you here. One suggestion I might have for your piece is to start on a mid gray background. This automatically gives you a middle ground, after which you need only go up in value for your lights, and down in value for your darks. I look forward to seeing your progress on this! :)

Looking forward to seeing your work here. :)

Thanks for your comments, and I hope that you will be able to join in this or a future OFDW!
Zeph,
Great pic, thanks for posting that! I really look forward to seeing your piece develop, it will make a great Step by Step!

Welcome aboard! It looks as though you have a fantastic start, and I look forward to seeing your piece develop. :)

Thanks a lot for the Tutorial! What I would love to see you do is to actually create a new thread here:
[Tutorials and Workshops](http://forums.cgsociety.org/forumdisplay.php?f=199)
And call it: TUTORIAL - OFDW 017 Step by Step - by DiM
With your images and text from your Tutorial there. :) Also, please post the URL links as images so that we can see them.
Thanks a lot for doing this! :)
Matt,
You are off to a great start, and I'd just like to see you push this as far as you can. :)

Still need to do more work on the sleeve and the hood…but I think I’m nearing the finishing line. So near, yet so far!
Sara…looking really good!
wow, Glenn, beautiful…
still wonder how earth you did that. Maybe you could enlarge upon this “from Blobs to Beauty” technique, becasue really that was so strange and exciting to follow…
Zeph, Rebecca, you’re a couple of sadists.
I’ll revisit the blasted merchant once I’ve given my eyes and brain a couple days to recover; look at it with fresh eyes, so to speak.
Everyone, fantastic stuff. Everything just looks so awesome.
Cool Glen - from out of some blobs of color a beautiful painting emerges! You have an eye for form and color that I really envy
And I think I´m finished. Or? C&C please

How should I reply to this fellamelad? :
