Hello everyone,
My name is Jakub, I am fairly new to graphic design. I’ve always wanted to learn how to draw etc, but never got means to do it. Half year ago I discovered Zbrush, so cutting story short, I’ve done few models already, but I feel I could use some school/tutor that would help me. I got myself an account on Digital Tutors that helped me to start, but now I’d prefer sth like a proper course.
I want to work as a Character Artist in the future for movies and games industry and get to know some animation basics later.
I came across Gnomon School Online 10-week courses with Scott Spencer, I know he is an amazing artists, because I got his books, but can’t find any work of his students - I’d like to compare mine to check if I should start Beginner or Intermediate one.
I spoke to their advisor and he suggested that I start with:
Introduction to 3D with Maya and Photoshop for Concept Design - I am not exactly sure if that’d be a good start. I thought about picking Digital Sculpting
What do you guys think about it ? Maybe you know some better online courses ? Unfortunately, where I live(Dublin), not a single school trains digital artists, so I have to stick with online classes.
